Dan Cox Wins Republican Eighth Congressional District Primary

With over 40 percent of the vote, Dan Cox won the 8th Congressional District Republican Primary on Tuesday night. Cox will run against Maryland State Senator Jamie Raskin who won the Democratic Primary with just over 30 percent of the vote. 

Cox released a statement on his Facebook page shortly after claiming victory in the race.

“Governor Larry Hogan’s success and support in Maryland, including with Independents and Democrats, prove that Marylanders like the genuine, positive change he’s bringing us all,” Cox said in a statement. “As a small business owner, parent and attorney, I will work hard to get our economy moving again, bring jobs back to District 8 and support the Freedom and security we all love and want to long endure for our children after us.”
