Damascus Over Glenelg, 33-0 (PHOTOS)

UPDATED It was a shut out. The undefeated Damascus Hornets are headed to the Maryland 3A state championship game after their 33-0 win against the Glenelg Gladiators in Damascus on Nov. 28.

The number one ranked Hornets took the home field in a cloud of yellow smoke and dominated the 3A state semi-finals game from the first play.

Star running back Jake Funk scored not just once, but three times in the first half and then again in the second half.

The fans were dressed in all black and the signs in the crowd said it all: “Straight to states.”
