Crown Groundbreaking
A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Oct. 11 for the new Crown community in Gaithersburg located at Fields Road and Sam Eig Highway..
Local elected officials are expected to attend the event. 
Downtown Crown, the featured shopping area, has signed up Harris Teeter, LA Fitness and several restaurants, according to the retail experts at JBG Rosenfeld Retail who will unveil a dramatic scale model of Crown and identify the first restaurants.
In the coming months, Pulte Homes, KBHome and the Bozzuto Group will start building the first townhomes and apartments.
