Covering MoCo’s Civic Day of Hacking

I recently covered a National Day of Civic Hacking event in Rockville on June 1. It was an interesting way to incorporate technology further into government, to make it more efficient and transparent.

This White House sponsored event was one of many being hosted across the nation to encourage a more  transparent government.

The event held at The Universities at Shady Grove was an open dialogue between what issues Montgomery County faces and what solutions residents could contribute using technology or other means.
