County to Host Online Conversation on Pediatric Wellness Feb. 24
An online conversation focused on pediatric wellness in the time of COVID-19 will be held Feb. 24 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event will be free to the public, according to a recent press release.
The event is part of a series, Wellness Community Events: Healing and Holding On – One Conversation at a Time for the Community. The series focuses on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health and wellness of communities.
Dr. Dominique Foulkes, medical director and chair of pediatrics at Suburban Hospital Johns Hopkins Medicine in Bethesda, will lead the conversation. Dr. Foulkes works with the Shaw Family Pediatric Emergency Center, an innovative facility that combines emergency and inpatient services.
Individuals attending the online conversation will learn about overall pediatric wellness, including information on exercise and nutrition. Participants will also discuss issues related to COVID-19, including tips on dealing with social isolation, vaccinations and guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Registration is not required to attend the event. Individuals can join the conversation on Team Lives or view the conversation live on County Cable Montgomery. The conversation will also be streamed live on the County’s Facebook page.
