County Removing 1,800 Ash Trees to Ensure Park Safety (VIDEO)

The Emerald Ash Borer is a beetle responsible for the destruction of ash trees in 25 states, including Maryland. The beetle feeds on the trees causing them to die within three years. The Montgomery County Parks department has been working to eradicate this beetle from parkland, necessitating the removal of 1,800 Ash trees this year. Susan Kenedy has more.
