County Offers Three Training Sessions in June on Use of Nalaxone
Montgomery County offers free training on the prescription medication Naloxone that reverses the effects of an opioid overdose. The 2-hour training sessions include instruction to administer Naloxone, tips on overdose prevention, and information on local and national resources.
Residents concerned about a friend or relative can register to attend the training.
The two-hour training sessions scheduled for June will be offered:
- Tuesday, June 5, 1 to 3 p.m.

- Tuesday, June 12, 10 a.m. to noon
Westfield South Building
11002 Veirs Mill Road, 7th floor conference room, Wheaton
- Tuesday, June 26, 5 to 7 p.m.

The training is free but registration is required, according to a news release. Participants who complete the training will receive a free Naloxone kit. Tips on overdose prevention and resources detailing local and national resources will be provided.
