County Offers Aid In Multiple Languages for Seniors and Individuals With Disabilities

Montgomery County is offering two services that can help seniors and individuals with disabilities gain access to personalized assistance and transportation.

According to a news release, The Aging and Disability Resource Unit (ADRU) provides personalized assistance, referrals and information to seniors, individuals with disabilities and caregivers. Assistance is provided by telephone or in person. Staff can help callers find both County and community based resources. The Connect-A-Ride program provides information and referrals for seniors and adults with disabilities about public, private and volunteer transportation options.  Connect-A-Ride also assists callers with applications for other programs such as the Escorted Transportation Program, Call-n-Ride and Metro Access. Language interpretation is available for both programs. photo of active happy African American senior coupl
