County Offering Veterans Day Freebies and Other Deals

Many businesses in Montgomery County are honoring those who have served our country on Veterans Day with deals and freebies. Often, a military ID, dressing in uniform, or other proofs of service is required to access these deals.

Here is a list of places that are offering deals:

Restaurants:

  • Applebee’s is giving out free meals from select menus to veterans and active-duty military.
  • California Pizza Kitchen is offering veterans and active-duty service members a free entree from a special menu.
  • Dunkin Donuts is giving out free doughnuts to veterans and active-duty military at participating locations.
  • Gordon Biersch is giving veterans a free entree from a special menu. 
  • Little Caesars is offering a free lunch combo to veterans and active military members from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 11. 
  • Red Lobster is giving veterans and active-duty military officers free appetizers or free desserts from a select menu.
  • Red Robin is giving veterans and active-duty military a free Tavern Double Burger with bottomless steak fries.
  • Starbucks is offering veterans, active-duty officers, and military spouses a free tall hot brewed coffee at participating stores. Starbucks is also donating 25 cents of every cup of brewed coffee sold to two non-profits that work on behalf of veterans.
  • The Greene Turtle is giving free entrees valued at $14 to veterans and active-duty service members.
  • Yard House is offering active-duty service members and veterans a free appetizer.

Additional deals and things to do:

  • Amtrak is offering military personnel and veterans a 10 percent discount on tickets.
  • Sports Clips is offering veterans free haircuts at participating locations. 
  • Target is taking 10 percent off in-store and online purchases for active-duty officers and veterans from Nov. 3 to Nov. 11.
  • The Newseum is offering free admission Nov. 9-11 for veterans, active-duty members, and one guest.

The Montgomery County Commission on Veterans Affairs offers a resource guide to programs and contacts for veterans in the county.
