County Launches Survey for Residents to Gauge Quality of Life

Montgomery County officials are asking residents to complete a survey to gain more insight on the quality of life in the county.

The 35-question survey asks residents who are at least 18 years of age or older to rate County services, use of existing amenities and facilities, whether they take advantage of County programs; their impression of county employees; communication between county officials and residents; and various household practices such as recycling.

“To give everyone a seat at the table, my administration wants to make sure we know what residents think about their local government and their quality of life,” said Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett. “Our residents’ opinions are very important to us. With the 2017 Resident Survey, we’ll get a rating of County services and find out more about what is working well and what needs improvement.”

The last survey of this kind was last conducted by the county in 2009, according to a news release.

The 2017 Resident Survey was mailed to 5,000 randomly selected county households in October and residents who did not receive the questionnaire in the mail can complete the survey online by clicking here.

Officials said the survey will be open from Nov. 1 to Nov. 15 and can be taken in English, Spanish and Chinese.
