County Executive’s Faith Council to Hold ‘Candid Conversations on Race’

On Oct. 28, the Montgomery County Executive’s Faith Community Advisory Council (FCAC) will have the first in a series of “Candid Conversations on Race.”

The event is free and open to the public. Anyone who wants to understand the history and repercussions of racism can join the safe space, where people can also share their experiences with racism.

The program will continue until March 2020, and is based on book and film discussions. Every discussion will be guided by experienced facilitators.

The conversations will be at 7 p.m. at the Silver Spring Civic Building at One Veterans Place.

Anyone can register online, here.
