County Council to Receive Briefing About Silver Spring Apartment Explosion (VIDEO)
The Montgomery County Council is scheduled to receive a briefing on Tuesday, Sept. 27, about issues related to the Aug. 10 Flower Branch Apartments explosion and fire in Silver Spring. More than 50 public and private agencies have been involved with this emergency and response on Arliss Street.
Director Earl Stoddard from the County’s Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security is slated to provide a presentation to the Council.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and Washington Gas have also been invited to attend this briefing.
