CANCELED:  The Town Hall Meeting scheduled for Jan. 27 is canceled following the recent winter blizzard.

Original Post  The Montgomery County Council will host a Town Hall Meeting in Clarksburg on Jan. 27.

According to a news release, the meeting will be held at Rocky Hill Middle School located at 22401 Brick Haven Way. Issues that will be discussed include the continued development of Clarksburg, the community impact of the future outlet mall, efforts to protect the Ten Mile Creek area, transportation needs, public safety, and the County’s Fiscal Year 2017 operating budget. Residents will have an opportunity to ask questions on any issue.

“We are constantly seeking new and better ways to find out what most concerns County residents,” Council President Nancy Floreen said. “We are always looking at how new technology can help residents more easily contact us on the things that are important to them. However, there remain few better ways for elected officials to interact with residents than meeting with them directly at forums such as Town Hall Meetings. With so much going on in Clarksburg, we are all looking forward to this meeting,” she said.

There will be a pre-meeting reception at 7:30 p.m. and the meeting will start at 8 p.m.
