County Council Recognizes Olney Farmers and Artists Market (PHOTO)

OlneyFarmersMarketNavarroGroupFormal 2-10-15The Olney Farmers and Artists Market, which opened in 2007 and has grown to more than 60 participants including farmers, artists and ethnic food vendors, was honored by the Montgomery County Council as it has become one of the County’s most successful markets—and one of the few that operate year-round.

The market, whose winter schedule has it operating at the Sandy Spring Museum on Sundays, was founded by Olney resident Janet Terry (right). At the ceremonies in Rockville were, left to right: Councilmember Nancy Navarro and vendors/volunteers Mark Mills, Judy Newton, Barry Newton and Dawn Wagner.

The leader of this market is not mentioned — Janet Terry. She was and is the vision behind this market. Please add her name to the photo and tags, below. Thank you.
