County Council President Nancy Floreen News Briefing (VIDEO)
Montgomery County Council President Nancy Floreen met with reporters for her weekly briefing on June 13. Floreen began with her condolences for the families and friends of the victims of the Orlando shootings. “What an act of terror and hate,” she said.
She also discussed the importance of the Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, the status of the White Oak development, economic development, the Council’s pending appointments on the Planning Board and the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, and more.
When asked about the latest on the proposed Carver bus depot site, she said there was nothing new.
According to Floreen, more information is expected next week when the county executive’s staff updates the Council at a June 21st meeting on the depot.
“They have been working on it for a long time. There is no simple solution to this one,” she said.
