County Council Considers Pay Raise

A seven member committee, appointed by the Montgomery County Council in February, recommended a 17% pay raise over the already approved 2.28% increase which takes effect December 1, 2013, for members of the Montgomery County Council. The committee recommended the increase be made effective at the start of the next term, December 1, 2014. The same committee recommended a 5.4% raise for the County Executive from $180,250 to $190,000.
