Council Recognizes Teacher Appreciation Week (Photos)

The efforts of Montgomery County teachers were recognized on May 7 by the Montgomery County Council during Teacher Appreciation Week. At the ceremonies, the Council also honored Anne Marie Foerster Luu, a teacher at Luxmanor Elementary School in Rockville. Ms. Foerster Luu, a Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages, was recently named the first recipient of the TESOL Teacher of the Year Award by the TESOL International Association and National Geographic Learning. She was honored at a banquet in Dallas in March.
