Council President Roger Berliner Meets with Reporters (VIDEO)

Council President Roger Berliner discussed the impending release of County Executive Ike Leggett’s budget and how President Trump’s budget would affect Montgomery County.

He also talked about the Tobytown cemetery and funding for the Corridor Cities Transitway and Bus Rapid Transit.

He also described an upcoming letter from U.S. Sen. Chris Van Hollen and District 16 lawmakers to the State Highway Administration to make a section of River Road a school zone. The section is used by Walt Whitman High School students to enter the school. If it’s a school zone, it would allow the county to lower the speed limit.

And he mentioned the 150th anniversary of Poolesville.
