Council President Press Conference (Video)

Montgomery County Council President Roger Berliner met with the media on Nov. 26 to discuss some of the important issues coming up this week in county government, including a FY 14 budget forum scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 29. He said this is the first time the Council has done a forum like this before and noted that hundreds of stakeholders have been invited to attend the meeting, which will include a financial presentation that details some of the budget constraints. Berliner also mentioned some legislation for affordable housing that he plans to introduce at the Nov. 27 Council meeting and he talked about some important tree legislation that will also be introduced. Finally, he noted that he is a big supporter of the GO Committee’s open government legislation before he opened it up for questions from the media. Take a look.
