Council President Nancy Floreen on Proposed 2017 Budget “Everything is on the Table” (VIDEO)
Montgomery County Council President Nancy Floreen held her weekly news conference on Monday, March 21. Floreen discussed a range of issues including County Executive Ike Leggett’s recommended $5.3 billion budget for Fiscal Year 2017. She also said a proposed property tax increase in Executive Leggett’s budget was “on the table.” Other topics included funding for the Purple Line, the Westbard Sector Plan, increase pay for Montgomery County employees and budget sustainability for Montgomery County Public Schools.
