Council President George Leventhal May 4th News Briefing (PHOTOS & VIDEO)

Montgomery County Council President George Leventhal met with reporters on May 4th at his weekly briefing in Rockville. Leventhal announced several upcoming meetings at the briefing, including a public discussion of Montgomery County’s new public financing system for county elections on June 15, a police relations meeting with Chief Tom Manager on June 9, and a work session on body worn cameras with Chief Manger on May 11.

Other topics discussed at the briefing included the recent demonstrations in Baltimore, the upcoming appointment to the Montgomery County Planning Board, the passing of former Montgomery County Public Schools superintendent Paul Vance and the budget.
