Council President Craig Rice News Briefing Set for Oct. 20

photo of Council President Craig RiceMontgomery County Council President Craig Rice is scheduled to meet with reporters at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, to discuss key items that will be facing the County Council and its respective committees in the near future.

Among the topics he will discuss are Ebola, planned changes to improve the County’s Department of Liquor Control and bills that will be introduced on Oct. 21 to improve County procurement practices regarding minority, female and disabled contractors.

He is also expected to discuss the “Town Hall Meeting for Students,” which the Council hosted on Oct. 15, and the “Ready for Tomorrow Education and Workforce Summit” that was hosted by Councilmember Nancy Navarro in White Oak on Oct. 18.

Rice’s briefing will be held in the 6th floor conference room of the Council Office Building at 100 Maryland Ave. in Rockville.
