Council Passes Gas Station Amendment (Video)
The County Council unanimously passed the zoning amendment requiring large gas stations to be located at least 300ft from schools, parks, playgrounds, day care centers, and other outdoor facilities. This measure was taken in response to the public conern over the proposed Costco mega-gas station in Wheaton. Councilmember Marc Elrich proposed the amendment and gives his views.
