Council Hearing on Executive’s Proposed CIP

County Executive Leggett Calls On State to Help Fund School Construction   YouTubeThe Montgomery County Council will hold a public hearing in two sessions (1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.) on County Executive Isiah Leggett’s proposed Fiscal Year 2015 Capital Budget and his proposed FY 2015-20 Capital Improvements Program (CIP) on Feb. 5.

The CIP is a six-year plan for funding major projects.

The public hearing will be held in the Third Floor Hearing Room of the Council Office Building at 100 Maryland Ave. in Rockville. Both sessions will be televised live by County Cable Montgomery (CCM—Cable Channel 6 on Comcast and RCN, Channel 30 on Verizon). The broadcasts also will be streamed through the County Web site at www.montgomerycountymd.gov/council.

Approximately 20 speakers are scheduled to testify during the afternoon session and approximately 25 speakers are scheduled for the evening session.
