Council Gets Briefing on County’s Coronavirus Preparedness

The Montgomery County Council received a briefing on the coronavirus COVID-19 today from Dr. Travis Gayles and Dr. Earl Stoddard. Gayles is a health officer and the Chief of Public Health Services for the county Department of Health and Human Services. Stoddard is the director of the county’s Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security.

They informed councilmembers how their departments are preparing for a potential virus outbreak, and offered specific medical information such as the symptoms of the coronavirus.
