Highly acclaimed and offering an exceptional jazz experience, the Rick Whitehead Trio performs music ranging from ballads, blues, bop, and Latin to high-energy fusion. The trio, which has been playing together since 1994, is led by master jazz guitarist Rick Whitehead and features bassist John Previti and drummer Barry Hart.

In 2006, Rick Whitehead received the Washington Area Musician’s Association Award as Best Jazz Instrumentalist. A year later, the Trio won the 2007 Washington Area Music Award as Best Jazz Group. This is jazz guitar at its best.

Rick Whitehead Trio is the third concert in the new Jazz series at Arts on the Green, part of an expanded music program offering some of the Mid-Atlantic’s brightest talents, not only in jazz, but also classical, World music and singer-songwriter.
