Construction Continues in Bethesda at 7272 Wisconsin Ave, Site of Future Purple Line Station

Construction continues at 7272 Wisconsin Ave. in downtown Bethesda, the site of the former Apex Building. The site housed a Regal Cinemas and the offices of the American Society of Health System Pharmacists. The building was demolished last year by developer Carr Properties.

Carr plans to replace the Apex Building with office and apartment towers. The Bethesda Purple Line station will be located beneath the complex and will be the western terminus for the Purple Line, a 16-mile transit link between Bethesda and New Carrollton, passing through Silver Spring and College Park.
