Connecting Our Community: Elder Care in Montgomery County (VIDEO)

It’s been said that by the year 2030, at least 3.5 million more healthcare professionals will be needed. In Montgomery County, the current need for nursing aides, orderlies, and attendants is acute.  The Family & Nursing Care Foundation said that “this is not an acceptable situation.”

On this episode of Connecting Our Community you will find out more about the Foundation while also learning about two of the organizations they have helped and how you can become involved.

Host Pat Shoemaker meets with the founder of Family & Nursing Care Foundation, Sandy Kursban and her son Neal Kursban. Neal is the president of Family & Nursing Care. The organizations are both devoted to helping seniors get the care they need but they are both very different in how and what they do.

On the second half of the show Pat speaks with Carol Rognrud the Executive Director of the Montgomery College Foundation and Marla Lahat, the Executive .
