Concerts to Check Out This Week: April 18 – 23 (VIDEOS)

Concert season is upon us and there are a ton of artists coming through Montgomery County this week. Musicians from various genres and backgrounds will be performing at local venues and the Sound Check blog is your on stop shop for a full list.

The Fillmore Silver Spring will be hosting three concerts this week:

Tuesday, April 19 at 8 p.m.: Waka Flocka

Wednesday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m.: Underoath (Sold Out)

Thursday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m.: Amon Amarth

Friday, April 22 at 8 p.m.: FONESCA (Sold Out)

The Music Center and The Mansion at Strathmore

Wednesday, April 20, at 7 p.m.: An Evening with Walt Whitman Music. Walt Whitman High School’s bands, choruses, and orchestras are scheduled to perform at The Music Center.

Wednesday, April 20, at 7:30 p.m.: Strathmore’s Artist in Residence Jan Knutson is scheduled to perform at The Mansion. This event is free, but registration is required.

Thursday, April 21, at 7:30 p.m.: Ensemble Schumann is scheduled to perform works from Schumann, Bruch, Mozart and others at The Mansion.

Saturday, April 23, at 8 p.m.: Kristen Chenoweth and Andrew Lippa are scheduled to perform and star in  I am Anne Hutchinson/ I am Harvey Milk at The Music Center.
