Comptroller Franchot Honors Two Montgomery County Businesses

Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot honored two Montgomery County businesses on Thursday with certificates of recognition: Bethesda Bagels and Shapiro and Duncans.

Franchot recognized Bethesda Bagels for “providing fresh-baked bagels and stellar service to happy customers in the Bethesda area for the past 36 years.”

Shapiro and Dunkin, an engineering firm, has been a family-owned business in Montgomery County since 1976. It has worked on projects like the Intercounty Connector.

Franchot presented the certificate at its Rockville location to Charlie Ayres, Sheldon Shapiro, and Jerry Shapiro.
