Community Meeting With Councilmember Berliner Set for Nov. 7

photo Roger BerlinerMontgomery County District 1 Councilmember Roger Berliner is holding a community meeting Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at Garrett Park Elementary School Media Center, 4810 Oxford St., Kensington. The meeting will provide residents an opportunity for informal discussions of interest to local residents as a continuing part of his series of “Conversations With Councilmember Berliner.”

At the community meeting, Councilmember Berliner, whose district includes Bethesda, Cabin John, Chevy Chase, Friendship Heights, Garrett Park, Glen Echo, Kensington, North Bethesda, Poolesville, Potomac and Somerset, will host informal discussions of issues of interest to local residents.

I enjoy these informal meetings with residents of District 1. There is no better setting for me to learn about the concerns of my constituents—and to be able to bring them up-to-date on issues before the County Council. At the Kensington meeting, we will discuss local issues important to residents, including planning and zoning projects, environmental conservation, traffic and transportation concerns and public safety. I hope my constituents will come ready to talk. I will be ready to listen and respond,” said Councilmember Berliner, who chairs the Council’s Transportation, Infrastructure, Energy and Environment Committee and serves on the Public Safety Committee.
