Community Forum on Police Relations In Silver Spring (PHOTOS)
Leaders from the Norbeck Community Church hosted a conversation on how people should interact with police officers in the event of an encounter with law enforcement officials.
The gathering took place on May 9. Church officials hoped to facilitate positive interactions between the community and police officials.
Students from public and private schools were in attendance.
Assistant Chief Darryl McSwain said there is a need for better communication, and urged everyone- parents, police officers, church leaders, nonprofits- to work together.
