Clarksburg High School Hosts TedX Youth Event

Hundreds of students and members from the community gathered in Clarksburg High School’s auditorium early Thursday to attend a student-led TEDx Youth event.

TED is a nonprofit whose mission is to spread ideas in short but powerful talks.  The organization’s TEDx Program is designed to help communities, organizations and individuals spark conversation and connection through local TED-like experiences.

Organized by Clarksburg High School senior, student Matt Evenson, the event featured Admiral Forrest Faison, surgeon general for the United States Navy; Dr. Nadia Hashimi, a pediatric physician and politician; NBC 4 News Anchor, Aaron Gilchrist; Montgomery County Police Chief Tom Manger; and more.
