City of Gaithersburg to Host Arab American Heritage Month Celebration on April 11
The Gaithersburg Multicultural Affairs Committee will host a reception in honor of Arab Heritage American Month on Monday, April 11.
The event will feature student presentations on culture from different Arab nations, Arabic art and demonstrations, dancing and more. Gaithersburg Mayor Jud Ashman and the City Council declared April as Arab American Heritage Month during a Council meeting on Tuesday.
Reservations are required to attend the event which is free and open to the public. To make a reservation, send an email to mac@gaithersburgmd.gov by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 8. The reception will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, which is located at 506 South Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg.
