City of Gaithersburg Delays and Closings

The City of Gaithersburg will open for business at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 17. Liberal leave is in effect for non-essential employees.

City of Gaithersburg snow removal crews have been on the roads since 2 a.m. today.

Recycling for Monday, March 17 is being suspended. For those whose regular recycling day is Monday, recycling will be picked up on Saturday, March 22.

Residents are reminded that they are responsible for clearing sidewalks abutting their property. This is often easier to accomplish if done during or immediately following the weather event. Please remember to clear snow from around fire hydrants in neighborhoods as well.

Drivers are reminded to treat intersections without working traffic signals as four way stops.

Senior Center and Youth Centers closed.

Activity Center at Bohrer Park opens at 8 a.m. today.

All activities scheduled for school sites are cancelled.

City sponsored morning/afternoon classes before 5:30 p.m. for preschool/youth/ teen/adults in City facilities are also cancelled.

Decision on evening teen and adult sports/recreation classes to be made by 2:30 p.m. today.
