Citation of Bravery
Montgomery County firefighter Anthony Veith was recognized on Aug. 10 at the public safety awards breakfast with the Citation of Bravery.
On Sept. 12, 2011, Veith entered a burning house in Rockville and rescued a 10-year-old boy. The boy was transported to Children’s Hospital and after two weeks of treatment was released to his family and friends.
The awards breakfast is an annual event at the fairgrounds, held each year before the official opening of the Montgomery County Fair.
