The Town of Chevy Chase held elections for two seats on the Town Council on May 7.

Incumbent Patricia Burda was reelected to the council with 384 votes. Burda is currently serving as the mayor.

John Bickerman was elected to serve his first term on the Council with 324 votes. Incumbent Linna Barnes lost her bid for reelection by 11 votes.

A total of 1021 votes were cast.

The Town Council is responsible for making all of the legislative decisions that affect the Town. Council members are elected each May, and serve for two year terms, with two seats being filled one year, and three the next. The Council serves in an unpaid capacity.
