Chevy Chase Police Asking for Public’s Help (Photos)

The Chevy Chase Village Police Department is requesting assistance in identifying the subject in the below photos. The man is a suspect in a vandalism to a home in the 5500 block of Montgomery Street in Chevy Chase, which resulted in thousands of dollars of damage.

On April 29, at approximately 1:00 p.m., police said an unknown suspect entered the rear yard of a home in the 5500 block of Montgomery Street and threw several large rocks at the house repeatedly striking and damaging an expensive set of French doors and a rear window. The below images were captured by the Village’s security cameras as the suspect left the yard of the vandalized home. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall and 230 pounds. He appears to be in his 30’s, and he was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, a blue backpack, dark blue work pants and dark shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Chevy Chase Village Police Department immediately at 301-654-7300. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this crime.
