Chevy Chase Lake Sector Plan (Video)

County officials, including Councilmembers Nancy Floreen and Roger Berliner, recently took a bus tour of the Chevy Chase Lake community to get an idea of what this area would look like after the proposed redevelopment detailed in the Chevy Chase Lake Sector Plan which was prompted by the anticipated arrival of the Purple Line. One major concern is the increase in traffic. Phase One calls for for more than 2 million square feet of new development, including a complete redevelopment of the Chevy Chase Shopping Center property.
