Cherry Blossom Watch: First Forecast for Peak Bloom

Cherry Blossom DC announced their forecast for the peak cherry blossom bloom. The National Park service predicts peak bloom will be between April 3 and 6. But, The Washington Post’s Capital Weather Gang expects the peak between April 1 and 5.

Blooming depends on the weather, due to our cold spell, the buds are currently behind schedule. But with temperatures expected to rise in late March, the blooming speed back up.
