Check Your Legislative District Before Voting

Sample ballots for the upcoming Primary Election have been mailed and the Montgomery County Board of Elections is urging residents to check their ballots. The new Maryland General Assembly legislative districts take effect with the 2014 elections.

The sample ballot will specify the current legislative district. Registered voters were also mailed an updated voter identification card last year.

The sample ballot provides information on the Congressional, Legislative, County Council, and Board of Education Districts as well as other information on the voting process. This information is also available online by using the official Polling Place Locator here.

Early Voting begins Thursday, June 12, and Election Day is June 24. Residents may also request a ballot by mail. For more information, call 240.777.VOTE, visit www.777vote.org, or the Maryland State Board of Elections’ website at http://elections.state.md.us.
