Chamber Hosts 10th Annual Wine Tasting (Photo)

The Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce (GGCC) held its 10th Annual Wine Tasting on May 23 at the Kentlands Mansion in Gaithersburg.

Over 100 area business leaders and city officials -including Gaithersburg Mayor Sidney Katz and City Councilmembers Jud Ashman, Cathy Drzyzgula, Mike Sesma and Ryan Spiegel – attended.

“The wine tasting was a top-notch event with great food and wine pairings plus networking like you wouldn’t believe. People from all business sectors were there, and everyone was having fun mixing and mingling,” said Anita Anderson, GGCC Board Member and vice chair of events.

The event sponsors included the city of Gaithersburg, DrinkMore Water, Pinky and Pepe’s Grape Escape, The Prime Choice Caterers and SPAGnVOLA. This year’s wine tasting featured a guided wine tasting tutorial of five featured wines compliments of Pinky & Pepe of Pinky and Pepe’s Grape Escape.

Also attendees received a special discount coupon to use that week in the Pinky and Pepe’s Grape Escape Kentlands store. winetasting

The menu – prepared by GGCC Member The Prime Choice Caterers- includes mini beef wellington, Tuscan chicken skewers with pesto accompanied with caprese skewers, miniature crab cakes with cocktail sauce, grilled shrimp wrapped in bacon and an international cheese board with strawberries dipped in chocolate.

DrinkMore Water provided bottle water – of course- and rinse stations. SPAGnVOLA, a premium chocolate retail store in the Kentlands, had a special display and treats that satisfied everyone’s sweet tooth.

The GGCC is active in providing business-to-business networking opportunities throughout the year: a collective voice in local, regional, and state legislative affairs, professional development opportunities and other services that enhance the business environment. The GGCC is located at 910 Clopper Road, Suite 205N, Gaithersburg, MD. To learn more about the GGCC visit us at www.ggchamber.org.
