On Tuesday, October 4, 2016, the Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce (GGCC) held its 11th Annual Upcounty Business Breakfast Briefing (UCBBB). The UCBBB gives Chamber members and Upcounty Business Leaders an opportunity to discuss legislative issues with their elected officials.

The GGCC was honored to have Montgomery County Executive Isiah “Ike” Leggett, State Senator- District 39 Nancy King and State Senator- District 15 Brian Feldman as their guest speakers.

“It’s always good to hear from our legislators, but it is equally important for them to hear from us. We have a great relationship with our legislators and we try to let them know how legislation in the County and the State impact the business community, said Marilyn Balcombe, GGCC President/CEO

The event was sponsored and hosted by Hughes Network Systems, LLC – An EchoStar Company.

Transportation was the forefront of conversation especially with regards to projects including Interstate 270 & the Watkins Mill Interchange.
