Mother’s Day is a busy time of the year for retailers like flower shops and restaurants. According to the National Retailer Federation, on Mother’s Day Americans spend about $20 billion on mom’s special day.
However, it is also the day many say, “thank you, Mom, for everything you do.”
“My mom is special because she gave me opportunities to be all that I can be and all the tools to be all that I can. And she’s still proud of me after all these years, and also helps me when things get a little bit tougher than I want to be. So she’s just the person who is always there for me,” said Maryland State Delegate Bonnie Cullison.
Whether you’re still a child or already a grown-up the message is the same: Mothers are special every day of the year.
