Celebrating Asian Pacific American Heritage Month (Photos)

In honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, the City of Gaithersburg’s Multicultural Affairs Committee presented “A Celebration of Chinese Culture” at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park.

The festivities featured traditional dance, art and refreshments in recognition of the Asian Pacific American community and its achievements and contributions to Montgomery County.

Following the celebration, a proclamation in honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month was presented to Chih-Hsiang Li, Executive Director of the CCACC, during the Mayor and City Council meeting.

Chinese dancers from the Chinese Culture and Community Services Center (CCACC) and a Chinese brush painting art exhibit and calligraphy demonstrations by the Harmonious Art Group participated in the event.
