Celebrate Takoma Festival

The first “Celebrate Takoma” festival will take place on May 19, from 1 to 5 p.m. on the newly refurbished Ed Wilhelm Field behind Piney Branch Elementary School. The festival will feature music, dancing, and food from Takoma Park. The event is free with nominal fees for food and merchandise. “Celebrate Takoma” will be held rain or shine, so bring a chair or a blanket and plan for the weather.

As part of “Celebrate Takoma” the winners of the 2013 Azalea Awards will be announced. Also Takoma Foundation will announce the community projects winning grants for this spring.
