Catch a Show at F. Scott Fitzgerald in November
The fall theatre season will bring everything from musical theatre, instrumental music and ballet to Rockville. Start making plans for any or all of these events happening at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre in Rockville Civic Center Park, 603 Edmonston Dr.
See the Rockville Musical Theatre’s production of “Guys and Dolls” in November. This oddball romantic comedy is considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy. The cast will take you on a journey from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana with many musical numbers along the way.
Show times for “Guys and Dolls” are Nov. 1, 2, 8, 9, 15 and 16 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 3 and 10 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20-$22.
Also in November, take a trip to France from right here in Rockville. Under the direction of John Saint Amour, the Rockville Concert Band presents “Vive La France!” on Sunday, Nov. 24, at 3 p.m. They will perform French music and music about France. Tickets are not required for this event but a $5 donation is appreciated.
Beginning Nov. 12, tickets for the Rockville Civic Ballet’s performance of “The Nutcracker” will be available. The production of this timeless holiday classic is directed by Claudia Mangan. Celebrate the holidays with performances on Saturdays, Dec. 7 and 14 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sundays, Dec. 8 and 15 at 2 p.m.
