Burtonsville Townhouse Fire (Photos)
Montgomery County firefighters are investigating what sparked a fire at a Burtonsville townhouse at 3614 Childress Terrace on April 25.
Fire Spokesperson Pete Piringer reported on his Twitter account that the fire started in the basement exercise room. He said a smoke alarm activated and the alarm company notified the residents of the fire.
According to Piringer, there were no injuries but a family of four, two adults and two children, has been displaced by the blaze.
The cost of damage from the fire is estimated at $400,000, according to Piringer.
