Brush Fire on Persimmon Tree Road (PHOTOS)

Downed power lines have sparked a brush fire near the 8900 block of Persimmon Tree Road.

Fire and Rescue Spokesperson Pete Piringer reports that the road is closed between Bronson Road and Oaklyn Drive as the fire department awaits Pepco crews.

There are reports of power outages in the neighborhood.
