Inside Brown Station Elementary’s Dual Language Immersion Program
Students in Brown Station Elementary School’s Two-Way Language Immersion program receive their instruction in two languages every day: 50% of instruction is given in English and the other 50% of instruction is given in Spanish.
On the first day back to school on Tuesday, Montgomery County education leaders and politicians had the opportunity to look into the Brown Station classrooms in Gaithersburg and see how students learn in the dual language immersion program.

According to @MCPS, the two-way language immersion program is comprised fairly equally of native English-speaking students and native Spanish-speaking students. pic.twitter.com/iPQQ4bue8p
